After retiring from a corporate career in 2011, Fran decided to follow her heart and start a new career working with horses. She became a certified equine massage therapist in 2012, and a Masterson Method Certified Practitioner in 2015, followed by becoming a coach, mentor and weekend seminar instructor for the MM program in subsequent years. Dedicated to growing her knowledge, she has taken many continuing education courses, including attending Ivana Ruddick’s whole horse dissection course, attending continuing education offered by the Masterson Method program, becoming certified in equine kinesiology taping, and became trained in saddle fit assessment. She has built a thriving bodywork business in West and Central Michigan and is excited to incorporate the benefits of Sure Foot Balance Pads into that business.
When not working on other people’s horses, she spends time with her own horse, Phantom, a 2005 Friesian. Together, they focus on dressage and dabble in mounted archery and extreme trail.
Moira Watson – 1 HOOF
Location: Manningford Abbots, UK
Moi’s love of polo, developed during a 30-year Army career, led her on a journey of finding a non-invasive way of rehabilitating the equine athlete; seeking a way to work with the horse as an active partner rather than a passive subject.
In 2018, having seen a body work demonstration, Moi attended a Masterson Method weekend seminar. Being dedicated to science-based evidence, Moi then spent a year understanding how the equine bodywork she had seen worked, and why. She attended anatomical dissections, equine biomechanics, saddle and bit fitting courses, numerous horse performance conferences, and has attended a whole horse dissection clinic with Sharon May Davis and equine kinetic myofascial lines courses with Rikke Schultz and Vibeke Elbrond.
Since giving the horse choice is a key tenet of Moi's approach, adding the Sure Foot Equine Stability Program to her toolbox of techniques became a priority since 2020, finally becoming a Practitioner in 2023.
Qualifications: MSc in Equine Behaviour, Training and Performance at Sparsholt College, University of Portsmouth in 2019. Masterson Method Certified Practitioner 2020. Equitation Science International Diploma (In Hand) instructor in 2021. Equine Craniosacral Certificate with Holistic Animal Studies in 2022. Sure Foot Practitioner 2023.

Sina Büel – 1 HOOF
Pferdeosteopathin nach Welter-Böller
Location: Canton of Thurgau and of Zurich
Sina studied pharmacy at the ETH Zurich and graduated with a master's degree. In 2019 she got the opportunity to join the hospital pharmacy at the Tierspital Zurich, to develop herself in the pharmaceutical field towards the focus on animals. Working with her horse, she was looking for a manual technique that would be gentle for the animal, yet support the healing process in an efficient way. She found this in osteopathy according to Welter-Böller and immediately decided to train in it. In SURE FOOT, she sees an ideal complement to the manual osteopathic techniques. Both approaches teach the horse new posture and movement patterns and thus a better body feeling, but with SURE FOOT the horse itself can decide whether it wants to engage in a session with the Pads and how long it wants to stand on them. Sina is always amazed to see how positively the horse responds during the first sessions – working with the Pads clearly helps to achieve more balance, both physical and mental.
